Roles & Responsibilities

• Network Monitoring & Alarm Handling:
  1. Monitor the network using SolarWinds and respond to alarms.
  2. Perform Level 1 troubleshooting for detected issues.
  3. Escalate critical incidents to higher levels if needed.

• Cisco Routing & Switching (L1 Support):
  1. Check router traffic, interfaces, and connections.
  2. Assign and manage VLANs.
  3. Troubleshoot LAN connectivity issues.

• Network Security (L1 Support):
  1. Manage and troubleshoot Cisco FTD firewall policies.
  2. Perform access control tasks (access granting/revoking).

• F5  (L1 Support):
  1. Assist with basic  troubleshooting.
  2. Monitor traffic distribution and health checks.

• Windows Domain Services (L1 Support):
  1. Provide Level 1 support for Domain Controllers, DHCP, and Exchange.
  2. Troubleshoot authentication and email delivery issues.

• Daily Network Maintenance & Backups:
  1. Execute a daily checklist to verify network health.
  2. Monitor and ensure successful network backups.

• Cisco IP Telephony (L1 Support):
  1. Assist with basic configurations and troubleshooting.
  2. Support VoIP phone registration and connectivity.

• Required Skills & Qualifications:
  1. Experience in network monitoring tools (SolarWinds preferred).
  2. Basic knowledge of Cisco Routing & Switching (CCNA level preferred).
  3. Familiarity with firewall policies (Cisco FTD).
  4. Understanding of F5 load balancing concepts.
  5. Basic administration of Windows Server, DHCP, Exchange.
  6. Knowledge of Cisco IP Telephony.
  7. Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
  8. Ability to escalate complex issues to higher levels.
